A few pictures

Wanted to add a few pictures of the Watermeier family from the past couple of months. These are from birth through Memorial Day weekend, so bear with us! Anna is now 2 months old and our dainty little girl weighs 1.4 pounds less than her brother did at this stage. Dr. Glasgow says she is healthy and growing well. She's grown some pretty eyelashes over the past week and rolled over once, although I didn't see it. The evidence was in her position on the floor from where I laid her down... and no, Brady wasn't awake! So please meet Annakin Paigewalker!

Edited to add: I have finally figured this whole blog deal out and have left the pictures I originally put in this blog to the side... edited 12/27/07

It's been a long time!

Wow, it's been a while since I've written anything in this blog! Kate encouraged me to get started but then we had another baby and got a little distracted... Anna Paige was born on March 29, 2007 at 8:20 am weighing 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was 18.5 inches long.

She was a little earlier than planned... not because of being in labor (as I have never been) but again due to my hydronephrosis. She is just such a sweet baby and thankfully doesn't have colic like her brother did! She just smiled for the first time on May 25th and it melted Mommy's heart. Brady is in love with his little sister (after a few weeks of "not so much") and is still our little Monster Monkey! Alright, I'm going to figure out how to add more pictures and continue to update more...

We have a date!

Well, I've been saying April 4th will be the day that our daughter is born for a long time, but on Monday we made it official: the c-section is scheduled for 9:15 am on Wednesday, April 4th. Only 3 more weeks of sleep!! We can't wait to meet our little girl, though. I've been nesting like crazy... I've gotten on my hands and knees already twice this week to scrub the grout in the kitchen. I also washed all the baseboards downstairs today. We're also getting our yard in order so we can enjoy it this summer... that will be so nice. We're both guilty of spending too much time indoors, but those days are numbered as Brady of course loves playing outside. That's it for now, I'll write more as news develops!

We're staying in Birmingham

Well, after thinking we were going to have to move again for Blake to get promoted, we got word last week that we won't. Instead of moving us back to Atlanta for a year or two we'll be able to stay here for a while and Blake can get promoted from his current district. It's really nice to know we're going to stay here and not be constantly worried about moving. We both like it here and are happy to be staying. We've finally made some small home improvements we had been putting off if we weren't going to stay in this house, and additionally we'll have to re-paint the nursery and move Brady into his own "big boy room" sometime over the summer. We figure the new baby will be in our room for a while as I can't see myself trudging up and down the stairs several times in the night to breastfeed! So that's the latest here in B'ham, more news will come when we have some!
